How Many Skool Communities Can You Have?

Whether one Skool account can run or join more than one community, what each extra group costs, and how to switch between them.

Getting startedMore than one Skool community

Skool sets no published limit: one account can join and create as many communities as you want. So how many Skool communities can you have? As many as you will pay for. Joining costs whatever each owner charges, and owning costs a Skool plan per group. Below: joining, owning, costs, switching, and copying between groups.

As many as you want. Skool's help centre recommends one Skool account to join and create as many groups as you want. Each group you own has its own Skool subscription, Hobby at $9 a month or Pro at $99, so two groups mean two plans. Payouts from all your groups go to one bank account.

Joining many Skool communities as a member

Use one account for everything. Skool's article on managing multiple Skool accounts says to use a single account to join and create as many groups as you want. If an invite goes to a different email, click it and log in with the account you already have. Skool cannot merge accounts later.

What changes once you are in several groups:

  • Each paid group is its own charge. You pay each owner's price, and you cancel each group on its own, from Settings, then the Communities tab, then SETTINGS next to that group.
  • Levels do not carry over. Skool's points article says levels are per group. Join a new group and you start at level 1.
  • Noise is set per group. In Settings, Notifications sets the emails for each group, and Chat turns Skool Chat on or off for each group.

Skool has tried a group limit before. Skool News #5 (1 April 2025) has a segment titled "50 group limit crisis: why we did it + apology". Today's help centre sets no cap. In Skool News #75 (22 September 2026), Skool's team said a global search and a global calendar across all your groups are coming, not live yet.

Owning more than one Skool community

Run all your groups from one account. Skool's pricing page lists just two plans, Hobby and Pro. Each group you create has its own subscription: the Billing tab sits inside that group's SETTINGS, and Skool's help articles call it the group subscription. You cancel, change plan or update the card one group at a time (cancel, change plan, update card).

What two or more groups cost

Prices from Skool's pricing page, checked 29 September 2026. The pricing page also offers yearly billing with "2 months free".

Groups you ownPlansPaid to Skool each month
1Hobby$9
2Hobby and Hobby$18
2Hobby and Pro$108
2Pro and Pro$198

Each group's plan also sets that group's transaction fee: 10% + 30c on Hobby, and 2.9% + 30c on Pro for charges up to $899 (payments FAQ). So you can put a small free group on Hobby and your paid group on Pro. Our Skool pricing guide has the full sums.

Money, team and handing off

  • One bank account. Skool's payments FAQ says that with multiple communities, payouts from all of them go to the same bank account.
  • Team per group. You add admins inside each group's SETTINGS. More than one admin needs the Pro plan, and a group can have up to 30 (admin article).
  • Handing a group on. Transferring ownership works on Pro only (transfer article).

Before you open a second group, check whether a second plan inside your first group would do the job.

Skool's pricing setup article offers freemium (a free plan and a paid plan in one group) and tiers (several paid plans, each with its own benefit). One group with tiers is one Skool plan and one feed to keep busy (see Skool membership tiers). A second group makes more sense for a different audience or topic.

Switching between your groups

Skool's help centre has no article on moving between groups. Here is what it does show:

  • Settings lists them. The Communities tab in your Settings lists your groups, with a SETTINGS button next to each.
  • Each group has its own link on skool.com, so you can bookmark the ones you use most.
  • There is a group switcher. Skool News #5 covered updates to it. Skool has not written up its steps, so we will not guess them.

Can you duplicate a Skool community?

Not as a whole. Skool's help centre has no way to copy a full group, its posts, its members or its settings. What you can copy is courses, and that is where Skool's help centre sends owners who start over in a new group "if you need to transfer content".

How to copy a course to another group

These steps are from Skool's duplicate a course article, last updated 10 July 2026.

  1. In the Classroom tab of the first group, click the three dots menu on the course, then Share course key.
  2. Click Copy. Anybody with this key can duplicate your course into any group, so keep it private.
  3. In the Classroom tab of the other group, click + New course, then Import with key in the top right.
  4. Paste the key and click Import. Skool notifies you when it is done, and the course arrives as a draft.

Only owners can share a course key. Owners and admins can both import one. To copy a course inside the same group, use Duplicate from the same three dots menu. Building one from scratch? See how to create a course on Skool.

Moving members

Members do not move with the content. You can invite them by email or in bulk with a .CSV file, and Skool says both give instant access without paying (invite article). Skool documents no way to move a paid subscription between groups.

For owners: one Backpack plan covers every group you admin

Two groups means two sets of cards that fail, members who cancel, new members to welcome and posts to schedule. Backpack is a Chrome extension (not made by Skool) that handles those jobs: Payment Recovery, Cancellation Recovery, Welcome Drip, a Post Scheduler, and connecting your own Claude or ChatGPT. You write the messages, and it sends them from our servers, so it works with your computer off. Unlike Skool, it is not priced per community: $9 a month covers every Skool community you admin, every feature included. You connect Skool once, then switch each group on from that group's page. The short version

How many Skool communities can you have? As many as you want, from one account. Each group you join is its own membership, and each group you own is its own Skool plan. Courses copy between groups with a course key. Posts, members and settings do not.

FAQ

How many Skool communities can you have?

As many as you want. Skool's help centre recommends one Skool account to join and create as many groups as you want, and sets no cap. Each paid group you join charges you separately, and each group you own needs its own Skool plan, Hobby at $9 a month or Pro at $99.

Do you pay for each Skool community separately?

Yes. Each group you own has its own subscription, managed from that group's SETTINGS, then Billing. Two Hobby groups cost $18 a month, and a Hobby group plus a Pro group cost $108. Skool's pricing page lists no plan that covers several groups. Payouts from all your groups still go to one bank account.

Can you duplicate a Skool community?

Not the whole community. Skool's help centre has no way to copy a group's posts, members or settings. You can copy courses: share a course key from the first group's Classroom, then use Import with key in the other group. The copy arrives as a draft to check before you publish.

Should I make a second Skool account for my second group?

No. Skool recommends one account to join and create all your groups. Accounts cannot be merged, so a second account just splits your groups and messages in two. If you already have two, Skool suggests picking one and rejoining your groups with it, cancelling any paid membership on the other.

Do my points and levels carry over between Skool groups?

No. Skool says levels are set at the group level. A member at level 3 in one group starts at level 1 when they join another, like every new member. Points come from likes on your posts and comments in that group, so you build each group's level from scratch.

Can I move members from one Skool group to another?

Not automatically. You can invite them to the new group by email or with a bulk .CSV upload, and Skool says those invites give instant access without paying. Skool documents no way to move a paid subscription between groups, so paying members would need to join and pay in the new group.
