Skool Chrome Extensions Compared

The Chrome extensions Skool owners use, compared fairly: what each one does, what it costs, and what it needs access to.

Running a communitySkool Chrome extensions

Six Chrome extensions are built for Skool community owners: SkoolKit, Skooly, Skoot, Panda, Wingman and Backpack. Every Skool Chrome extension here does some mix of the same jobs: scheduling posts, messaging members whose card fails, and following up when someone cancels. They differ on price, on how you pay, and on one real trade-off: whether the tool keeps your signed-in Skool session on its servers so it can work with your computer off. We make Backpack, so read this knowing that. Every price, feature and store listing below was checked on 29 September 2026, on each vendor's own pages.

The main Skool Chrome extensions for owners are SkoolKit (from $2 a month), Skooly ($9 to $59), Skoot ($99), Panda ($37), Wingman ($69) and Backpack ($9). Most schedule posts and message members whose card fails. The big difference is whether a tool works with your computer off. The ones that do keep your Skool session on their servers.

The six at a glance

Prices are in USD, from each tool's own site or its page on Skool. All six sell through their own Skool community, so Skool takes the payment and you cancel on Skool.

The real trade-off: your computer, or your Skool session

A Chrome extension only runs while Chrome is open. Skoot's own blog put it plainly in March 2026: "Skoot used to only run automations while your browser extension was open. That meant if your computer was off, nothing ran."

To send a message at 3am while your laptop is shut, a tool's servers have to act as you inside Skool. To do that, they keep a copy of your signed-in Skool session. Four of the six say they run on their own servers:

  • SkoolKit stores "Your Skool session for a community you admin" so "our servers can act on your behalf", "encrypted at rest".
  • Skooly says "we store your Skool.com authentication cookies on our servers", encrypted with "AES-256-GCM encryption at rest".
  • Skoot says "all automations run 24/7 on our servers. Your computer can be off." Its privacy policy does not say how it holds your Skool session.
  • Backpack stores your Skool session, encrypted, with the key held separately from the database.

Panda takes the other side. Its FAQ says your CRM, pipelines, tags, notes and drafts "stay on your device", and its Skool page says "your logins are never collected." The cost is that Panda needs a desktop or laptop running. Its FAQ suggests you "leave your computer on at home." Panda also "supports one active session at a time". Wingman does not say either way on its pages.

Neither side is wrong. Decide which you would rather give up: your computer being on, or a copy of your Skool session sitting on someone's server. SkoolKit, Panda and Backpack each say they never ask for your Skool password.

A tool that works while you sleep has to hold your Skool session. A tool that holds nothing needs your computer awake.

What the Chrome Web Store listings disclose

Every listing on the Chrome Web Store has a "Privacy practices" section where the developer declares what data the extension handles. Google describes "Authentication information" as, for example, "passwords, credentials, security question, or personal identification number (PIN)". Here is what each listing declared on 29 September 2026.

ToolWhat its listing says it handles
SkoolKitPersonally identifiable information, authentication information, website content
SkoolyPersonally identifiable information, authentication information, website content
SkootPersonally identifiable information, authentication information, location, web history, user activity, website content
WingmanPersonally identifiable information, website content
PandaNo listing found, so no declaration to read
BackpackNot listed yet. Its privacy policy covers what it stores.

All four listings also declare that data is not sold to third parties outside approved uses, and not used for lending or creditworthiness. Read the tool's own privacy policy too. It says more than the listing does.

Each tool, one by one

SkoolKit

SkoolKit lists eight tools live today: Post Scheduler, Payment Recovery, Auto DMs, Churn Hero (for members who cancel), Member Lens, Classroom Organiser, Voice Messages and Inbox Champion. You pay for how many you use. Standard is $2 a month or $20 a year for one tool, Premium is $6 or $60 for any three, and VIP is $17 or $170 for every tool. SkoolKit calls these "Founding member" prices, "ending soon". Billing runs "through Skool as a membership of the SkoolKit community."

Payment Recovery scans your member list "every 15 minutes" and sends a three-message sequence. On working offline, its FAQ is plain: "the work happens on our servers". You can connect as many communities as you admin, at no extra cost, as long as they are on the same Skool account. SkoolKit is made by Sentient Mind Ltd.

Suits: owners who want one or two jobs done for very little, or who run several communities from one Skool account.

Skooly

Skooly has three plans on its site: Standard at $9 a month (one inbox for DMs, quick replies, link analytics), Premium at $39 (Night Hawk, which "watches your community 24/7", churn-risk scoring, a live MRR view, testimonial pages) and VIP at $59 (DM sequences with "13 triggers, branching, wait-for-reply", AI-drafted replies and email broadcasts). Its Skool page says the upgrade gets "DM sequences that welcome new members, recover declined payments, or celebrate level-ups" and scheduled posts. There is a 7-day free trial.

Skooly's automated DMs and posts run from its servers "using the owner's encrypted Skool credentials", per its privacy policy. The Chrome Web Store listing describes the companion extension: short links, bookmarks, GIFs and course progress tracking.

Suits: owners who want analytics, churn-risk alerts and testimonial pages, and are happy to pay $59 for the follow-up sequences.

Skoot

Skoot calls itself a CRM for Skool. Its standard plan is $99 a month and lists automated follow-ups, member tagging, failed payment and churned member recovery, scheduled posts, and a setup call. Its Chrome Web Store listing adds slash commands, member notes, reminders and pipelines, and says it "Works with both Skool hobby and pro plans". A premium tier adds an AI Sales Rep, "Manage your community with AI (Skoot MCP)" and churn tracking from classroom data. Skoot's pages do not print the premium price or a yearly price. A free trial is included.

Skoot's listing declares the widest set of data of the six, including location, web history and user activity.

Suits: owners who want a full member CRM with tags, notes and pipelines, and a setup call, and for whom $99 a month is small next to their revenue.

Panda

Panda's Skool page lists scheduled posts, "auto DMs for welcomes, failed payments, and more", video and voice notes, a CRM and task board, and a net profit view, plus ops support from its founder. That page shows $37 a month. The FAQ on Panda's own site still says $36, so check the price when you join. There is a 7-day free trial, and Panda works across unlimited communities.

Your data stays on your device, with an optional backup to a folder you choose. Panda's FAQ asks you to switch off other Skool extensions that do CRM or DM jobs, to avoid conflicts. We could not find Panda on the Chrome Web Store, and its pages do not link to a listing.

Suits: owners who would rather not have their Skool session on anyone's server, run several communities, and can keep a computer on.

Wingman

Wingman's Skool page offers "$69/month or $690/year for life" with 7 days free, and now points buyers to the Goosify community. There, a $3 a year membership includes a "Lite version of Wingman", and the $69 a month tier adds post scheduling. Its Chrome Web Store listing lists automatic "welcome, churned, canceling, card declined DMs + followups", slash commands, bookmarks and lead tagging. Its Skool page adds a done-with-you setup, "live in 30 minutes", and a step-by-step roadmap.

Suits: newer owners who want hands-on setup and a roadmap, or who are already in Goosify.

Backpack

Backpack is ours. It does five jobs: Payment Recovery (messages a member when their card fails), Cancellation Recovery (messages a member who cancels), Welcome Drip (welcome messages to new members), a Post Scheduler, and connecting your own Claude or ChatGPT to your community. You write the messages and Backpack sends them from your own Skool account. It runs on our servers, so it works with your computer off. It is $9 a month with every feature, for every Skool community you admin, with 7 days free. You pay through Skool at skool.com/backpack.

To work offline, Backpack stores your Skool session, encrypted, with the key held apart from the database. Our privacy policy limits its use to three things: reading the member list and payment state of each community you switch on, sending the messages you wrote, and publishing the posts you scheduled. You can revoke it at any time. Backpack is not on the Chrome Web Store yet, and it is not made by or affiliated with Skool.

Suits: owners of one community or several who want failed payments, cancellations and scheduled posts handled with the computer off, plus their own AI, for $9. Not for: owners who want a full CRM like Skoot's. More on the jobs it does: getting members back after a failed payment, scheduling Skool posts and connecting Claude or ChatGPT to Skool.

How to choose

  1. Name the one job you need done: failed payments, cancellations, scheduled posts, a full CRM, or AI access.
  2. Decide on the trade-off: computer on (Panda), or your Skool session on a server (SkoolKit, Skooly, Skoot, Backpack).
  3. Count your communities. SkoolKit, Panda and Backpack cover several on one plan.
  4. Price the tier that has your job in it, not the headline price. Skooly's follow-up sequences are on its $59 plan.
  5. Read the store listing and the privacy policy before you install.
  6. Use the free trial, and run one tool at a time.

No Skool Chrome extension here is best at everything. The cheapest one for your job, that handles your Skool session the way you are comfortable with, is the right one. If that is Backpack, you can try Backpack free for 7 days.

FAQ

What is the best Chrome extension for Skool owners?

It depends on the job. SkoolKit is cheapest for one or two tools. Skoot has the fullest CRM at $99 a month. Panda keeps your data on your device. Backpack covers failed payments, cancellations, welcome messages, scheduled posts and your own AI for $9. Pick the tool whose plan includes the job you need.

Do Skool Chrome extensions work when my computer is off?

Some do. SkoolKit, Skooly, Skoot and Backpack run their automations on their own servers, so they keep working with your computer off. SkoolKit, Skooly and Backpack say they store your signed-in Skool session to do that. Panda keeps everything on your device, so its FAQ suggests leaving your computer on. Wingman's pages do not say.

What access does a Skool Chrome extension need?

Check the "Privacy practices" section of its Chrome Web Store listing. SkoolKit, Skooly and Skoot declare "Authentication information", Google's category for passwords and other credentials. Wingman declares personal information and website content only. Then read the tool's privacy policy for where your data is stored and how to revoke it.

Can I use two Skool extensions at the same time?

You can install more than one, but Panda's FAQ recommends switching off other Skool extensions that do CRM or DM automation before using it, because running them together can cause conflicts. Two tools sending follow-ups to the same member would also mean double messages. Run one tool per job.

Is there a free Skool Chrome extension?

Not among these six, but most have a free trial. Skooly, Panda, Wingman and Backpack each offer 7 days free, and Skoot includes a free trial. SkoolKit starts at $2 a month for one tool. Goosify's $3 a year membership includes a lite version of Wingman.

Is Backpack on the Chrome Web Store?

Not yet. You join Backpack through its community at skool.com/backpack, where Skool takes the $9 monthly payment and you can cancel. Backpack stores your Skool session, encrypted, so it can work with your computer off, and you can revoke that at any time.
