No, Skool does not have a desktop app for Windows, Mac or Chromebook. If you searched for a Skool app for PC, the answer is the Skool website: you use skool.com in your web browser, and your browser can save it as its own app window. We checked Skool's help centre, its website and the Apple, Google and Microsoft app stores on 29 September 2026.

No. On 29 September 2026 Skool had no desktop app for PC, Mac or Chromebook. Its only apps are for iPhone, iPad and Android, on the App Store and Google Play. On a computer, use skool.com in your browser. Chrome, Edge and Safari can each save the site as its own app window.

What we checked

Where we looked (29 Sep 2026)What we found
Skool's help centre, all 121 articlesNone mentions a desktop app, Windows, Mac or Chromebook
App links in skool.com's own codeOnly two: the App Store and Google Play listings
Apple App StoreSkool Communities by Skool.com, Inc. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Mac is not listed
Apple's Mac app catalogueNo results for "skool"
Microsoft Store catalogueOne result for "skool": SkoolControl by Skool B.V., a different company. Nothing from Skool.com
Google PlaySkool by SKOOLCOM INC, "The official Skool app", for Android

So the phone apps are the only apps Skool makes. Our guide to the Skool app covers them. On a computer, you use the website.

How to use Skool on a PC, Mac or laptop

  1. Open your web browser and go to skool.com.
  2. Click Log In and sign in to your Skool account.
  3. Bookmark the page, or turn it into an app window (next section).

The website is not a cut-down version. Skool's store listings call the phone app "All Skool's features + push notifications", so the app adds phone alerts, not extra tools. Skool even recommends a computer for one job: uploading a PDF or other file to a Classroom page (upload article).

Turn Skool into an app window on your computer

Chrome, Edge and Safari can each save a website as its own app, with an icon in your taskbar, dock or launcher. It is still the Skool website, in a window of its own. These steps come from each browser's own help page.

Chrome on Windows, Mac or a Chromebook

From Google's Chrome web apps page:

  1. Open Chrome and go to skool.com.
  2. At the top right, select More, then Cast, save, and share, then Install page as app.
  3. Follow the steps on screen.

On Windows, Mac or Linux, you can then add a desktop shortcut: open chrome://apps, right-click the app and select Create shortcut. On a Chromebook, the app shows in your launcher.

Microsoft Edge on Windows

From Microsoft's Edge apps page:

  1. Open Edge and go to skool.com.
  2. Select Settings and more, then More tools, then Apps, then Install this site as an app.
  3. To pin it, go to edge://apps, select Details on the app's card, then Pin to taskbar, Pin to Start or Create Desktop shortcut.

Safari on a Mac

This needs macOS Sonoma 14 or later. From Apple's Safari web apps page:

  1. In Safari, open skool.com.
  2. From the menu bar, choose File, then Add to Dock. Or click the Share button and choose Add to Dock.
  3. Type a name, such as Skool, and click Add.

Apple says a Safari web app shares no cookies or website data with Safari, so you log in to Skool again inside it.

Skip "Skool for PC" downloads

Search for a Skool desktop app and you will find download pages for phone emulators, website wrappers and other tools with Skool in the name. None of them is made by Skool, and Skool's own site links no desktop download. The stores also list other companies' apps with similar names, like SkoolControl on the Microsoft Store and an app called just "Skool" by TrackNerd GPS on the App Store. Check the developer before you install anything, and only type your Skool password into skool.com or Skool's own apps.

For group owners: work that stops when the laptop shuts

Running a group from a laptop has one catch: anything you do by hand stops when you close it. Skool's help centre documents no way to schedule feed posts. Skool does retry a member's declined card and asks them to update it, but a personal note from you is still yours to send.

Backpack is a Chrome extension plus our servers, so it keeps working with your laptop shut. It schedules posts and sends your own messages to new members, members whose card fails and members who cancel. It is $9 a month for every Skool community you admin, 7 days free, and not affiliated with Skool. Our Skool Chrome extensions guide compares it with the other tools.

If Skool will not load in your browser

Skool's connectivity article gives these fixes for a blank page or a connection reset error:

  1. Try another network, such as a different Wi-Fi or your phone's mobile internet.
  2. Restart your router: unplug it for 30 seconds, plug it back in and wait 5 minutes.
  3. Clear your browser's stored data. Skool says press Ctrl, Shift and Delete, pick "All time" and click "Clear data".
  4. Turn off any VPN.
  5. Switch your DNS to Cloudflare, using the Cloudflare guide the article links.

Still stuck? Here is how to contact Skool support. On a shared computer, sign out everywhere when you finish: click your profile picture, then Settings, then Account, and under Sessions click LOG OUT EVERYWHERE (log out article).

If Skool ever releases a Skool app for PC or Mac, its help centre is where it will show up first, and we will update this page.

FAQ

Is there a Skool app for PC?

No. Skool makes no app for Windows PCs. On 29 September 2026 the Microsoft Store had nothing from Skool.com, and Skool's site links only its iPhone and Android apps. On a PC, use skool.com in Chrome or Edge, and install the page as an app if you want a taskbar icon.

Is there a Skool app for Mac?

No. The Skool Communities app on the App Store lists iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, not Mac, and Apple's Mac app catalogue shows no Skool app. On a Mac, use skool.com in your browser. On macOS Sonoma 14 or later, Safari's File, Add to Dock gives Skool its own Dock icon.

Can I use Skool on a Chromebook?

Yes, through the website. Skool makes no Chromebook app, and its help centre does not mention Chromebooks. Open skool.com in Chrome and log in. For a launcher icon, select More, then Cast, save, and share, then Install page as app, as Google's Chrome help page describes.

Is the Skool website the same as the app?

Yes, for features. Skool's store listings describe the phone app as "All Skool's features + push notifications", so the app adds phone alerts, not extra tools. Skool's help articles mostly give website steps, and Skool recommends a computer for uploading a PDF or other file to a course.

Is it safe to download Skool for PC from another site?

Skool offers no desktop download, so any file offered as the Skool desktop app is not from Skool. Emulators and website wrappers are made by other companies. The safe way to use Skool on a computer is the website, skool.com, in a browser you already use, saved as an app window if you like.
