To delete your Skool account, cancel everything you pay for first, then send Skool a data deletion request. Skool's help centre has no article on how to delete a Skool account and no delete button in its documented settings. But Skool does run a deletion request page on its own site, and its privacy policy gives an email for the same job. Here is the order that works.

Skool's help centre has no delete-account steps. First cancel every paid membership, and if you own a group, cancel its plan. Then open Skool's Data deletion request page at skool.com/privacy?rt=udt, enter your email and password, and confirm. Or email help@skool.com. Skool warns deletion cannot be undone.

What Skool documents, and what it does not

We went through the full list of articles in Skool's help centre on 29 September 2026. There are articles for cancelling a membership, cancelling a group plan and deleting a group. There is none for deleting your account.

Two routes do exist, both run by Skool:

  • The Data deletion request page at skool.com/privacy?rt=udt. We found no help article that mentions it, but it sits on Skool's own site.
  • Email. Skool's privacy policy gives you the right to ask for your personal data to be erased, where your local law allows it. The contact it names is help@skool.com.

Step 1: stop every payment first

Skool does not say whether a deletion request cancels your memberships, so cancel them yourself. Then the billing stops however long the deletion takes.

Cancel each paid membership

From Skool's cancel article: click your profile picture, then Settings. In the Communities tab, click SETTINGS next to a group, then Manage membership, and cancel. Repeat for every paid group. Our guide to cancelling a Skool subscription covers the app, trials and payments made outside Skool.

Ask for any refund now

Cancelling does not refund you. Refunds are up to each group's owner, and Skool says you ask them on Skool Chat or through their support email. Do this while you can still log in.

Save your receipts and remove your card

Your past charges are under Settings, then Payment history. Skool's tip for keeping a copy is to print each receipt and save it as a PDF. Then follow Skool's card removal steps: once a membership is cancelled, exit the group, go to Payment Methods and click Remove.

Step 2: if you own a group, deal with it

Skool's deletion page stops with an error if you still own an active group. It says it could not process the request "due to ownership of active groups" and tells you to contact help@skool.com.

So sort the group out first. You have three choices:

  1. Cancel the group's plan. Click SETTINGS in your community, open the Billing tab, click Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription (Skool's steps). You keep access until the billing period ends. Then Skool archives the group: content stays readable, nothing new can be added.
  2. Delete the group. Skool's delete group article says you must be the only person left in it (removing members is done from the Members tab), and it must already be archived. Then go to SETTINGS, Billing, Delete group.
  3. Hand it over. Skool only allows ownership transfer on the Pro plan. The new owner must be an admin first. After the transfer the group is archived until the new owner adds payment details.

If your group earns money, Skool pays the available balance to your bank every Wednesday, per its payments FAQ. Make sure your last payout has landed before you delete anything.

Step 3: download your data (optional)

Skool also has a Data download request page. It asks for your email and password to confirm it is you, and says you will get a confirmation email. Do this before you delete.

Step 4: send the deletion request

Using Skool's deletion page

This is what the page shows. We read it but did not submit it.

  1. Go to skool.com/privacy?rt=udt. Check the address starts with www.skool.com. Skool's account security article says never to enter your login on a site that is not Skool.com.
  2. Enter your Skool email and password. If you do not know your password, reset it first at skool.com/reset-password.
  3. Click Delete my data. A box asks if you are 100% sure.
  4. Click Yes, delete my data.

The page then says your request is received and a confirmation email will follow. Before you submit, it warns that this deletes the account and data tied to that email, and "CANNOT be reversed."

By email

Email help@skool.com and say you want your account and personal data deleted. Skool's privacy policy asks you to name the right you are using and says it may need to verify who you are. Send it from the email address on your Skool account, which Skool asks for when you contact support.

What happens to your posts and data

Skool does not say what happens to your posts, comments or chat messages inside groups when your account goes. If one of them matters to you, ask help@skool.com before you submit.

Its privacy policy says Skool keeps personal data only as long as it needs it for the reason it was collected, or as the law requires. After that it deletes it. Anything it cannot fully delete for technical reasons is blocked from further use.

One more thing Skool cannot reach: copies an owner made outside Skool. Skool lets owners export members' answers to membership questions, and on the Pro plan send a new paid member's name and email to their own CRM with Zapier. To remove those, ask each owner directly.

Only want the charges to stop?

Then you may not need to delete anything. Skool's delete group article notes that cancelling is usually all you need to stop the billing. You can also cut the noise without deleting: change which emails you get under Settings, then Notifications, and switch off Skool Chat for each group under Settings, then Chat. If you still see a charge after cancelling, check what the P.SKOOL.COM charge is.

If you are sure, that is how to delete your Skool account: stop every payment, sort out any group you own, save what you want to keep, then send the request.

FAQ

Can I delete my Skool account myself?

Yes, by request. Skool's help centre has no delete-account article or settings steps. But Skool runs a Data deletion request page at skool.com/privacy?rt=udt, where you confirm your email and password and ask for deletion. You can also email help@skool.com, the contact Skool's privacy policy names for erasure requests.

Does deleting my Skool account cancel my subscriptions?

Skool does not say, so do not rely on it. Cancel each paid membership yourself first, from the group's SETTINGS and then Manage membership. If you own a group, cancel its plan under Billing too. Then your billing stops no matter how long the deletion request takes to process.

What happens to my posts when I delete my Skool account?

Skool does not publicly say whether your posts, comments or chat messages are removed from groups. Its privacy policy only says it keeps personal data as long as it needs it or the law requires, then deletes it. If specific posts matter, ask help@skool.com before you send the request.

Can I get my Skool account back after deleting it?

No. Skool's deletion page warns that the request cannot be reversed. If you are not sure, cancel your paid memberships, leave your groups and change your notifications instead. That stops the charges and the emails, and you can still delete the account later if you want to.

Can I delete my Skool account if I own a group?

Not while the group is active. Skool's deletion page returns an error about ownership of active groups and points you to help@skool.com. Cancel the group's plan first. To delete the group, you must be its only member and it must be archived. On Pro, you can transfer ownership instead.

How do I get a copy of my Skool data first?

Use Skool's Data download request page at skool.com/privacy?rt=udl. It asks for your email and password and says you will get a confirmation email. For payment receipts, go to Settings, then Payment history, open each month and print it to PDF, as Skool's help centre suggests.
